Floppin’ Flounder

5K

June 6, 2020, Sullivans Island, SC
Once again the Charleston Running Club is proud to present our annual Floppin’ Flounder race to raise money for the Sullivans Island Fire & Rescue Department. This year, we are proud to have been chosen as the location for the  2020 South Carolina RRCA 5K Championship!

It is with saddened hearts that we bring this news to you.  With the current pandemic going on and current city mandates in place, we have decided to cancel this year’s race.

We originally planned on holding this event as a Virtual Race as an alternative but don’t feel that we are providing you the type of high quality event that you have been accustomed to being held by our club. We also don’t feel that our sponsors would be getting the appropriate recognition for their most gracious donations to support the Floppin’ Flounder and want to ensure they compensated for their support.

We appreciate you so much for having faith in our event by continuing to register for the event not knowing how the race would be held.  Unless you state otherwise, we will automatically transfer your registration to our 2021 Floppin’ Flounder 5K.  You may reach out to us if you would rather transfer to one of our other upcoming 5K events this year including the Charleston James Island Connector 5K in October or the Bohicket 5K in November or the Charlie Post Classic 5K in January.  We recommend transferring your event instead of requesting a refund.  If you would like a refund instead, we can refund your registration fee with the exception of any processing fees that you were charged.

Sincerely,

Chad Plasters
President, Charleston Running Club

VP of Races, Charleston Running Club
